NYX Round Lipsticks Part 1: Swatches, Comparisons
The NYX Round Lipsticks are extremely pigmented, creamy, inexpensive lipsticks. They retail for $4 each at nyxcosmetics.com, cherryculture.com (Cherry Culture has a lot of sales!), or even cheaper on Ebay. Their color selection is unparalleled in the low end and high end departments.
This post features: NYX Helio, Frosted Beige, Celene, Summerlove, Circe, and Rea
As shown in the swatches, the lipsticks deliver full pigmentation with just one swipe.
Helio is a white silver frost. Applies extremely patchy on the lips. Frosted Flakes is a brown neutral frost. It's too frosty for my taste. Celene is a yellow gold frost. It's good for layering on other lipsticks for a golden sheen (think MAC Ruffian Gold). Summerlove is a beige pink frost. I quite like this shade as a nice pinky nude. Circe is a tan beige creme. It's much darker than MAC Viva Glam Gaga II. Rea is a brown beige creme. A good nude shade for darker skin tones.

Love these posts. Would be great to see comparisons to other brands. I'm looking for a good dupe for mac modesty and Rea looks pretty close.

I'll try to do what I can with comparisons when I have time. Rea is too brown and Modesty is much pinker. I don't have Modesty but from searching I found this: "Maybelline’s Totally Toffee is the closest dupe to Mac Modesty, (Maybelline) Warm me up imho is more pink. Warm me up is the exact dupe for Mac Brave with a better finish and texture!"

DeleteI had a lot of these but for some reason a year or so ago I decided to put them all into palette form... they went bad so quickly. It was such a waste!
