Guerlain Rouge Automatique 101 Voilette de Madame: Review, Swatches, Comparisons
Temptalia's consistent A ratings for the Guerlain Rouge Automatique lipsticks immediately piqued my interest. At $35 a pop, these lipsticks are definitely a luxury purchase so color selection is key. I chose 101 Voilette de Madame because its peachy rosy color makes for a beautiful everyday shade for me. It very much lives up to the high praises. It is buildable in pigmentation, hydrating without slip, and very comfortable to wear. Voilette de Madame lasts 4-5 hours without feathering, settling into lip lines, or enhancing any dryness. The lasting power for a hydrating non-matte lighter lip color like this makes this formula truly remarkable (and unbelievable!) Preparation isn't necessary for this lipstick and the packaging is makes you a "lipstick ninja" according to Karen @makeupandbeautyblog.

Chanel Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle is more rosy and darker. Rimmel Moisture Renew in Spotlight Beige is slightly peachier but is incredibly close and a dupe. Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle is slightly rosier with shine. Covergirl Lip Perfection in Delish is more satin in finish, more pigmented, and more peachy. WetnWild MegaLast in 902C is darker, more beige, and more pigmented.

Oh wow it really is pretty... I wish I could justify purchasing an expensive lipstick at this point but maybe in the far far future I'll splurge on one of these :) Shame as well though that it doesn't look like the actual product really fills the whole tube? I hate it when companies do that!!

I have so much makeup that it's easier for me to finish it all if they don't fill it up all the way haha. If you had that money for makeup, I'd spend it on foundation or skincare personally! Lipstick is just a nice treat.
DeleteSo they do seem to live up to the hype... I just might have to buy a few now >_<
