MAC Peach & Coral Lipstick Collection

I am an absolute sucker for peach and coral toned lipsticks. It's my everyday lip color and because most of these are limited edition, sheer, and require multiple applications through the day, I tend to collect them as I go through them quicker than any other lipsticks in my collection.

These are my MAC Peach and Coral lipsticks, most of which are limited edition. Unfortuntely not many drugstore brands create similar shades so I don't own many other lipsticks in this range other than MAC.

* = limited edition

(L-R) Flamingo*, Cut a Caper*, Ever Hip*, Coral Bliss, Betty Bright*, Reel Sexy*, Sushi Kiss*

MAC All About Orange Lipsticks: Swatches, Comparisions, Demo

The MAC All About Orange collection is being released on June 6, 2013 (today) at all MAC counters and free standing stores. I purchased these lipsticks a week ago when it was released online and sold out instantly. Some of the lipsticks are still being sold at other department store websites like Nordstrom, Sak's Fifth Ave, Dillards, and Bloomingdales to name a few.

Peach and Coral are my absolutely favorite shades for color makeup so I was extremely excited about this collection. After receiving my items, I can safely say that these did not disappoint.

Flamingo is a light milky bright coral (lustre).

Sweet & Sour is a soft peach cream (cremesheen).

Razzledazzler is a light cream peach (lustre).

Sushi Kiss mid-tone coral cream (satin).

(L-R) Maybelline Pin Up Peach, Maybelline Coral Ambition, MAC Flamingo, MAC Sweet & Sour, MAC Razzledazzler, MAC Sushi Kiss, MUA #15, MUA #16, Wet'n'Wild Just Peachy

Maybelline Color Whisper in Pin Up Peach is more mauve and sheerer than Flamingo. Maybelline Color Whisper in Coral Ambition is sheerer than Sweet & Sour. MUA #15 is pinker than Flamingo. MUA #16 is redder than Sushi Kiss. Wet'n'Wild MegaLast in Just Peachy is pinker than Razzledazzler.

DiorSkin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow: Review, Swatches

The Diorskin Paradise Duo in Coral Glow is the current love of my life. It's absolutely stunning both in the pan and on the face. It gives the illusion of a natural tan with fresh looking cheeks to match, an effect that is impeccable and worth more than the $56. Coming from someone who owns more blushes than imaginable, I would buy this a thousand times over if I ran out. It's sadly limited edition so it's best to buy it soon.

The powder itself is exquisite - soft and tightly packed with no fall out. It has buildable pigmentation that makes application a breeze. It blends effortlessly into the skin creating a beautiful, healthy complexion. The bronzer is a buildable light yellow satin brown with minimal orange undertones; the blush is a medium pinky coral that I've been obsessed with. Mixed together, it creates a satin orange peach. The combination couldn't be more perfect. While there are four color quadrants, I find it easier to use only two at a time. Surprisingly, the lighter shades swatch darker than the darker shades. It lasts all day on me and I couldn't recommend it more.
Price: $56 at Sephora and Dior counters
                                    Pigmentation: Medium, buildable
                                    Texture: Soft, finely milled, blendable
Pros: Effortless application; beautiful colors; long wear; luxurious packaging
                                    Cons: Expensive; limited edition
Overall: A+, Dior's Coral Glow delivers on superior quality, application, and
packaging. It is exactly what you'd expect from a high end brand but I could have
done without the brush for a lower price.

DUPE | MAC Magnetic Fields Eyeshadow (LE)

For the 31 days of MAC Dupes, click here.

MAC Magnetic Fields is "black brown with silver pearl" veluxe pearl finish eyeshadow that was released in the MAC Neo Sci-Fi collection of 2008. Unlike most veluxe pearls, Magnetic Fields is on the drier side and can feel gritty in the pan. The color, however, is absolutely stunning but then again, I'm completely biased as this was my first ever MAC eyeshadow.

I haven't duped it completely but this is the closest alternative I've found and I'm very happy with it.

1) Coastal Scents Cherry Chocolate ($2) - Cherry Chocolate is much smoother in texture, more pigmented, and more olive. They share the darkened grey base color but Cherry Chocolate has a warmer undertone. I actually prefer Cherry Chocolate because it has a much better texture and blendibility to it. Plus it's only $2!
